Nepal Visa from Bangladesh

Visa on arrival is open to Bangladeshis, and under SAARC your first 30-day visit each calendar year is free. It's issued at Kathmandu, Pokhara and Lumbini airports and the land borders for US$30 (15 days), US$50 (30 days) or US$125 (90 days, multiple entry), paid in dollars or by card. The Dhaka embassy also issues a pre-arrival eTA in 2 working days for BDT 3,630–15,125, and pre-filling the online arrival form at nepaliport.immigration.gov.np skips the airport queue.

How do I apply for a Nepal visa?

  1. 1

Decide: on arrival, or the embassy eTA

Most Bangladeshi travellers simply get the visa on arrival — it's issued the same day. Choose the embassy's pre-arrival eTA instead if you'd rather land with the visa already in your passport.

  2. 2

Fill in the form before you fly

For the on-arrival route, pre-fill the arrival form at nepaliport.immigration.gov.np to move through immigration faster, especially in peak season. Have your photo and passport details ready.

  3. 3

Or apply at the Dhaka embassy for the eTA

Submit your passport, photo, application form and ID copy between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm, Sunday to Thursday, at United Nations Road-02, Baridhara Diplomatic Enclave, Dhaka-1212. Collect it 2 working days later, between 4:00 and 5:00 pm.

  4. 4

    Pay and land

On arrival, pay in US dollars or by card at the visa counter unless your first SAARC visit of the year is free. At the embassy, pay the taka fee for the length of stay you chose.

Where do I apply in Dhaka?

  • Embassy of Nepal, Dhaka

United Nations Road-02, Baridhara Diplomatic Enclave, Dhaka-1212

Submissions 9:30 am–12:30 pm, collection 4:00–5:00 pm, Sunday to Thursday. Use this route for the pre-arrival eTA; you don't need to visit the embassy for the on-arrival visa.
