How We Verify Visa Information

Visa rules change often, and an outdated fee or a missing document can cost you time and money. This page explains where the facts in our visa guides come from, how often we check them, and what the dates and names on each guide mean.

Last updated: 14 September 2026

Where our information comes from

We check requirements, fees and processing times against official sources:

  • the websites and notices of the destination country's embassy or high commission
  • notices from the official visa application centre that handles the country's applications in Bangladesh, such as VFS Global
  • the destination government's official e-visa, immigration or travel authorisation portals

The sources listed on a guide appear next to its “Last checked” date, official sources first. Our experience with the applications we handle helps us explain the process in plain language, but a fee or a requirement always comes from an official source.

How often we re-check

  • We re-check every visa guide at least every 90 days.
  • We check sooner when an embassy, visa centre or official portal announces a change.
  • Guides that haven't been checked for more than 90 days are flagged to our team for re-checking.

What “Last checked” means

“Last checked” is the date someone on our team last compared the guide with its sources. We change this date only after actually re-checking, not when we fix a typo or reword a sentence.

When a fact changes, such as a fee, a document or a processing time, we add the change and its date to the guide's “What changed” list.

What “Reviewed by” means

When a guide shows “Reviewed by”, that person checked the facts in the guide. Their name links to their profile, which describes their role and lists the guides they have reviewed. A guide shows a reviewer only when that person has a public profile on this website.

How we show fees in taka

Embassies and visa centres usually set their fees in their own currency, such as US dollars, euros or Thai baht.

  • We show each fee in the currency it is charged in, with an approximate amount in taka.
  • The taka amount is converted at the exchange rate on the date shown with the fee table.
  • What you actually pay can differ because of the exchange rate on the day you pay, bank charges or card fees.
  • Fees paid to the embassy or visa centre are shown separately from FlyNext's own service fee.

Processing times and decisions

Processing times are given in working days, as the embassy or visa centre quotes them, and can be longer in busy seasons. Only the embassy decides whether to issue a visa: no agency can guarantee one.

How to report an error

If something in a visa guide looks wrong or out of date, please tell us. Send us the link to the guide and what you found, with a link to the official notice if you have one, through the contact page, WhatsApp or email (details below).

We check every report against the official source. If the guide needs a correction, we update it and add the change to its “What changed” list.

Spotted something wrong or out of date?

Send us the page link and what you found. We check it against the official source and correct the guide if needed.
