Quick answer
Do Bangladeshis need a visa for Saudi Arabia (Umrah)?
Yes. Bangladeshi passport holders apply online for a Saudi Arabia (Umrah) e-Visa. Processing usually takes 3–7 working days. The visa fee is SAR 300. You can stay for up to 15 days. The visa is valid for 30 days.
What changed recently?
- Saudi Arabia published the 1448 AH Umrah season: visas from 31 May 2026, last issuance 9 March 2027, last entry 23 March 2027 and last exit 7 April 2027.
- The Umrah visa entry window was cut from 3 months to 30 days after issue; the permitted stay after arrival didn't change.

How do I apply for a Saudi Arabia (Umrah) visa?
- 1
Choose a licensed Hajj and Umrah agency
Only agencies registered under the Hajj and Umrah Management Act 2021 may arrange Umrah. Check the agency's licence number on the Ministry of Religious Affairs' approved list before you pay.
- 2
Hand over your documents and get vaccinated
Give the agency your passport, photo and travel dates, and take the meningococcal vaccine at least 10 days before you fly.
- 3
Enrol your fingerprints in Saudi Visa Bio
Download the official Saudi Visa Bio app from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and register your face and fingerprints with your passport.
- 4
The agency books Nusuk and applies
Your hotel and transport are booked in Nusuk, then the Saudi Umrah company files the e-visa with the mandatory insurance.
- 5
Enter within 30 days and book your Umrah permit
Fly within 30 days of issue. In the Nusuk app, book your Umrah time slot and, if you visit Madinah, your Rawdah slot. Leave before your visa ends and before the season's last exit date.
Why are Saudi Arabia (Umrah) visa applications refused?
Fingerprints not enrolled
What helps: Finish the Saudi Visa Bio enrolment as soon as the agency asks; the visa can't be issued without it.
No confirmed Nusuk hotel and transport booking
What helps: Ask your agency for the Nusuk booking reference before you pay the balance.
Passport valid for less than 6 months
What helps: Renew the passport before the agency files the visa.
An earlier overstay or ban in Saudi Arabia
What helps: Overstaying can bring a fine up to SAR 50,000, prison and deportation, and blocks future visas. Always leave on time.
An unlicensed agency
What helps: Unregistered agencies break Bangladeshi law and can leave pilgrims stranded. Check the ministry's list.
What else do people ask about the Saudi Arabia (Umrah) visa?
For the 1448 AH season, Umrah visas started on 31 May 2026. The last day to get a visa is 9 March 2027, the last day to enter Saudi Arabia is 23 March 2027, and every Umrah visitor must leave by 7 April 2027, before the Hajj season.
Umrah visas are issued for a set stay: 15 days, 30 days or 80 days. A 15-day visa suits the usual 10–15 day group package, 30 days suits a longer stay or Ramadan, and 80 days is for pilgrims who want a long stay. The 80-day visa comes two ways: applied for on your own request with a confirmed return ticket inside the 80 days, where issue is guaranteed, or issued in the ordinary way without that request. Ask which is open for your dates.
Not in practice. Nusuk lets some nationalities book directly, but Bangladeshi ordinary passport holders get their Umrah visa through a Hajj and Umrah agency licensed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, which works with a Saudi Umrah company. You still use the Nusuk app yourself for Umrah and Rawdah permits.
Yes. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah allows women aged 18 and over to perform Umrah without a male guardian when travelling with an organised group. Agencies may set their own rules, so confirm with yours before booking.
Yes, outside the Hajj season, but most Bangladeshis can't get the online tourist eVisa. It is open to Bangladeshis only if they hold a used US, UK or Schengen visa, or residence in the US, UK or EU. No visit or tourist visa allows Hajj.
Ask for the agency's Hajj and Umrah licence number and find it on the approved Umrah agency list published in the Ministry of Religious Affairs' notices (mora.gov.bd). The ministry also publishes notices against agencies that broke the rules. Never pay an agency that can't show a valid registration.
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior can fine overstayers up to SAR 50,000, jail them for up to 6 months and deport them, and Umrah companies are fined for not reporting overstayers. An overstay also makes future Saudi visas very hard to get.
No. Only the embassy, high commission or immigration authority decides whether a visa is granted, so no agency can honestly guarantee it. What we do is make sure your application is complete, consistent and matches the official checklist, which removes the most common reasons for refusal. Be wary of anyone who promises a guaranteed visa for an extra payment.
Yes. Send us the refusal letter and the documents you submitted. We look at the reason the embassy gave, such as weak financial proof, an unclear travel purpose or missing papers, and fix that before you apply again. Reapplying with the same file usually brings the same result. Tell the embassy about the earlier refusal whenever the form asks: hiding it can lead to a longer ban.
