How do I apply for a Dubai (UAE) visa?
- 1
Choose your sponsor
A UAE tourist visa needs a sponsor: the airline you fly with (Emirates, flydubai, Etihad), a licensed travel agency or tour operator, or your hotel. A relative or friend living in the UAE can sponsor a visit visa if they earn enough (AED 4,000 a month for a parent, spouse or child).
- 2
Book a return ticket and a real hotel
Bangladeshi visitors must hold a confirmed return ticket. Book accommodation you will actually use and buy UAE-valid medical insurance.
- 3
Submit the application and pay
Your sponsor uploads the passport copy, photo, ticket and insurance, and pays the visa fee with its own charges. Fees aren't refunded if the visa is refused.
- 4
Wait, and don't pay for non-refundable travel yet
Official processing is 48 hours, but files from Bangladesh often take longer or are refused without a reason. Keep flights and hotels changeable until the visa is approved.
- 5
Travel with printed papers
Carry the printed e-visa, return ticket, hotel booking and insurance. Leave before the visa expires: overstaying costs AED 50 a day.
Where do I apply in Dhaka?
Embassy of the United Arab Emirates, Dhaka
House 191, Road 69, Gulshan North Avenue, Gulshan 2, Dhaka 1212
Tourist visas are applied for online through a sponsor, not at the embassy. Embassy hours: 9 am–4 pm, closed Friday and Saturday. Phone +880 2 2222 8429, dhakaemb@mofa.gov.ae.
Why are Dubai (UAE) visa applications refused?
Refused without a stated reason
What helps: The UAE doesn't publish reasons, and since 2024 many Bangladeshi applications have been refused or held back. Apply with a complete, genuine file and don't pay for travel you can't change.
Fake hotel bookings or documents
What helps: Sponsors and immigration check bookings. Use real reservations in your own name.
Signs of looking for work on a visit visa
What helps: Visit visas can't be used to work. Show a clear holiday or family purpose, your job or business at home and a return ticket.
A previous overstay
What helps: Past overstays count against new applications. Always leave before your visa ends.
Passport valid for less than 6 months
What helps: Renew the passport before applying.
What else do people ask about the Dubai (UAE) visa?
Applications are open and the UAE has announced no ban, but approvals for Bangladeshis have been limited and unpredictable since 2024. The UAE embassy said in May 2025 it was issuing 30 to 50 visit visas a day. Apply with a complete file, and don't buy non-refundable tickets or hotels until the visa is approved.
The official GDRFA Dubai fee is AED 200 for a 30-day tourist visa and AED 300 for 60 days, plus 5% VAT and AED 20 in government charges. Airlines, agencies and hotels add their own sponsor charges, so the price you pay in taka is higher. Fees aren't refunded if the visa is refused.
Yes, if they are a UAE resident who earns enough. ICP sets a minimum monthly salary of AED 4,000 to sponsor a first-degree relative such as a parent, spouse or child, AED 8,000 for second- or third-degree relatives and AED 15,000 for a friend. The sponsor applies through ICP or GDRFA.
Yes. Visitors on tourist or visit visas from Bangladesh must hold a confirmed return ticket at Dubai's airports, and airlines check it at check-in in Dhaka because they must fly back anyone refused entry. Carry your hotel booking and insurance too.
ICP charges a fine of AED 50 for every day you stay after a tourist or visit visa ends, and an overstay makes future visas much harder to get. If you need more time, extend the visa from inside the UAE before it expires; tourist visas can be extended up to 120 days in total.
Transit visas are issued only through airlines. Since August 2026, Emirates offers Bangladeshis a 96-hour Dubai visa with qualifying Emirates Holidays packages when flying on to the UK, USA, Europe, Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan, Mauritius or for Umrah. Staying airside between flights needs no visa.
No. Only the embassy, high commission or immigration authority decides whether a visa is granted, so no agency can honestly guarantee it. What we do is make sure your application is complete, consistent and matches the official checklist, which removes the most common reasons for refusal. Be wary of anyone who promises a guaranteed visa for an extra payment.
Yes. Send us the refusal letter and the documents you submitted. We look at the reason the embassy gave, such as weak financial proof, an unclear travel purpose or missing papers, and fix that before you apply again. Reapplying with the same file usually brings the same result. Tell the embassy about the earlier refusal whenever the form asks: hiding it can lead to a longer ban.
Embassy requirements can change at any time. Contact us to confirm the latest checklist before you apply.
