Travelling to Saudi Arabia (Umrah) from Bangladesh
For most Bangladeshi travellers, Saudi Arabia means Umrah: two weeks between Makkah and Madinah, with the days built around prayer at the two Harams.
Groups fly from Dhaka to Jeddah, often through Riyadh, and travel on by air-conditioned bus. What separates one package from another is simple: how far the hotel is from the Haram, whether meals are included, how many people share a room, and whether an experienced alem travels with the group.
The visa comes through a Hajj and Umrah agency registered with the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Since July 2026 Saudi Arabia also issues a one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa, with a 90-day total stay across the year.

What do travellers ask about Saudi Arabia (Umrah)?
Most Bangladeshi groups travel for 10 to 15 days, which allows about a week in Makkah and four to six days in Madinah after the travel days. A 14-day package leaves room for extra Umrah, ziyarah in both cities and rest, without rushing elderly travellers.
Five things: the agency's Hajj and Umrah licence number, the hotels' distance from the Haram in metres, how many people share a room, whether all meals are included, and what is left out, such as Badr or Taif trips. Ask for it in writing before paying.
Outside Ramadan and the Hajj season the Haram is far less crowded and packages cost less, with October to February the most comfortable months for weather. Ramadan is the busiest and most expensive time, and Umrah visas can't be used during the Hajj season at all.
