Umrah Visa from Bangladesh: Documents, Biometrics and the One-Year Visa

How Bangladeshis get an Umrah visa: the licensed agency route, 15, 30 and 80-day stays, Saudi Visa Bio fingerprints, the meningococcal vaccine, Nusuk bookings, and the one-year multiple-entry visa.

Bangladeshis cannot apply for an Umrah visa on their own. It is issued through a Hajj and Umrah agency registered with the Ministry of Religious Affairs, which files it with a Saudi-licensed Umrah company. The full rules, fees and sources are on our Saudi Arabia visa page; this guide explains what you actually have to do, in order.

⚠️ Check the licence first. Under the Hajj and Umrah Management Act 2021, only a registered agency may arrange Umrah. Ask for the licence number and find it on the ministry's approved list before paying anything.

The one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa

In July 2026 Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced an Umrah visa valid for 365 days from issue, allowing more than one visit. It is the visa many Bangladeshi agencies now advertise as a "one-year multiple Umrah visa". Three details matter:

  • The 365 days are the visa's validity, not your stay: total time inside Saudi Arabia is capped at 90 days across the year.
  • Each entry needs its own service package booked through a Nusuk-approved provider, and an Umrah permit in the Nusuk app.
  • It cannot be used during the Hajj season, and every Umrah visitor must leave before the season's exit date.

How long can you stay: 15, 30 or 80 days

An Umrah visa is issued for a set length of stay, and you choose it before the agency files the application. The stay runs from the day you arrive, so pick it to fit your group's return flight with a few days to spare.

Stay

Who it suits

15 days

The usual 10–15 day group package: Makkah, Madinah and ziyarah in both cities

30 days

A longer stay, families travelling together, or Ramadan

80 days (on request)

Long stays: applied for on your own request with a confirmed return ticket inside the 80 days, and issue is guaranteed

80 days (without request)

The same 80-day stay issued in the ordinary way, without that request or a fixed return ticket

Separately from these, Saudi Arabia's one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa lets you make more than one trip within 365 days, with 90 days in the country in total across the year. Ask your agency which option is open for your travel dates before you pay, because the answer changes with the season.

The steps, in order

  1. Choose a licensed agency and confirm the package, the hotels and their distance from the Haram in writing.
  2. Take the meningococcal ACYW vaccine and keep the certificate.
  3. Enrol your fingerprints and photo in the Saudi Visa Bio app.
  4. The agency books your Nusuk hotel and transport package and files the visa with the mandatory insurance.
  5. Receive the e-visa, then enter Saudi Arabia within 30 days of issue.
  6. Book your Umrah permit, and a Rawdah slot in Madinah, in the Nusuk app.

Who can go

Women aged 18 and over may perform Umrah without a mahram when travelling with an organised group, under the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's rules. Children must travel with a parent or guardian. There is no upper age limit, but elderly pilgrims should choose a hotel close to the Haram and tell the agency about any medical needs.

Common reasons a visa is delayed or refused

  • Fingerprints not enrolled in Saudi Visa Bio.
  • No confirmed Nusuk hotel and transport booking.
  • Passport with less than 6 months' validity.
  • A previous overstay in Saudi Arabia, which also blocks future visas.
  • An agency without a valid registration, which cannot file the application at all.

When to start, and how long it takes

Agencies file Umrah visas through Saudi companies, and the visa is issued only after your Nusuk hotel and transport booking is confirmed, so the timeline depends on your group's departure. Start six to eight weeks ahead: the vaccine has to be taken at least 10 days before arrival, biometrics take a day, and the passport must have at least six months left. In Ramadan, when demand peaks, start earlier still.

Travel: the visa is cancelled if you don't enter in time

After the visa: permits you still need

The visa gets you into Saudi Arabia; the Nusuk app handles everything after that. Book an Umrah permit with a time slot before each Umrah, and a separate Rawdah slot in Madinah, which is usually allowed once every 365 days. Both are free. Download Nusuk and register before you fly, because doing it on hotel Wi-Fi with a queue waiting is harder.

Costs and what to ask your agency

Saudi Arabia doesn't publish the Umrah visa fee, so ask your agency for a written breakdown: visa and insurance, hotels and their distances, meals, transport and ziyarah, and what isn't included. Our 14-day Umrah package lists all of that at BDT 1,40,000 per person, and our trip guide explains what the days look like once you arrive.

Overstaying is expensive: the Ministry of Interior can fine overstayers up to SAR 50,000, with imprisonment and deportation, and it makes future Saudi visas very hard to get. Travel with the group and return on your booked flight.
