A 5-day, 4-night trip to Bangkok and Pattaya from Dhaka costs about BDT 65,000 to 1,00,000 per person between November and February. That covers the Thailand e-Visa, a return flight, a 3-star hotel on twin sharing, two popular tours and food. The flight is the biggest and most variable cost, so when you book matters more than anything else.
💡 Checked in September 2026. The visa fee is the official embassy fee. Flight, hotel and tour prices are ranges we saw on airline, hotel and tour sites and change every day, so treat them as a guide, not a quote.

Bangladeshis need a visa for Thailand; there is no visa on arrival. You apply online for the e-Visa and pay BDT 4,500 at Commercial Bank of Ceylon or Eastern Bank. The embassy expects a 6-month bank statement and solvency letter showing at least BDT 60,000 per person, and it no longer accepts e-statements. The full checklist, with sources, is on our Thailand visa page.
Flights from Dhaka
Biman, US-Bangla and Thai Airways fly nonstop between Dhaka and Bangkok in about two and a half hours. Return fares start around BDT 36,000 when booked well ahead. For travel between mid-December and early January, when schools close and many families travel, expect BDT 45,000–55,000 or more. For Phuket or Krabi, add a domestic flight from Bangkok or look for a through fare.
Hotels
A clean 3-star room in Pattaya is usually cheaper than the same standard in Bangkok. On twin sharing, budget BDT 2,000–4,000 per person per night. Stay near Beach Road in Pattaya and around Sukhumvit or Pratunam in Bangkok to save on taxis. Some hotels take a refundable security deposit at check-in, so keep a card or some cash for it.
Tours and entry tickets
- Coral Island (Koh Larn): a shared speedboat tour with lunch is sold from a few hundred baht by tour operators; water sports are extra.
- Safari World and Marine Park: roughly THB 1,100–1,500 for the combined ticket, less when bought online in advance.
- Phi Phi from Phuket: a speedboat day tour costs THB 2,000–3,500, plus the THB 400 national park fee.
Tours sold by agencies in Dhaka usually include hotel pick-up and lunch, which is easier with family or elderly parents.
Daily spending
Street food and food courts keep meals cheap; a sit-down dinner in a tourist area costs more. Grab and metered taxis are easy in Bangkok, and the BTS Skytrain avoids traffic. Around BDT 1,500–3,000 a day per person covers food, water and local transport for most travellers; shopping is extra.
Cash, cards and arrival
Thai immigration can ask tourists to show THB 20,000 per person or THB 40,000 per family in cash or its equivalent, so carry it even if you plan to pay by card. Get the foreign currency endorsed on your passport through your bank before you travel, and fill in the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) within 3 days before you land.
When to go for the best price
November to February is Thailand's cool, dry season and the most popular time for travellers from Bangladesh. Fares and hotel prices peak from Victory Day on 16 December to early January, when schools are closed. For a beach trip to Phuket, Phi Phi or Krabi, go between mid-November and April: from May to October the Andaman coast gets the monsoon, and boat tours can be cancelled when the sea is rough. Bangkok and Pattaya work all year, and early November or late February gives the best balance of weather and price.
Costs people forget
- A mobile data SIM or eSIM for maps and Grab.
- Hotel security deposits, returned at check-out.
- Checked baggage if your fare is cabin bag only, and extra weight on the way home after shopping.
- Travel insurance, which covers medical bills that can be very expensive in Thailand.
- Water sports, shows and tips, which tour prices don't include.
Package or plan it yourself?
Booking separately gives you control, but prices move while you plan. A package fixes the hotel, transfers and tours in one price. Our Bangkok & Pattaya 5-day package starts at BDT 32,900 without flights or BDT 68,900 with them, and the Phuket, Phi Phi & Krabi 6-day package starts at BDT 39,900. Both come with help on the e-Visa.
How to spend less
- Book flights 6–8 weeks ahead and avoid the 16 December to early January peak.
- Travel in November or February: still dry, with lower fares.
- Share a triple room if you travel as three.
- Buy attraction tickets online before you go.
