Travelling to Singapore from Bangladesh
Singapore is about four hours from Dhaka by direct flight, and the easiest first trip abroad for many Bangladeshi families: English is an official language, the MRT reaches almost everything, and the city is safe to walk at night.
Three or four days is the usual length. A half-day city tour covers Merlion Park and Marina Bay, the Civic District, Chinatown and Little India; after that most people keep a full day for Sentosa Island and Universal Studios, and an evening for the light show at Gardens by the Bay. Halal food is easy to find around Arab Street, Geylang Serai and in most malls.
Singapore costs more than Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok, so many travellers from Dhaka pair it with Malaysia in one trip. You need a visa before you fly: the e-Visa is filed through one of the Singapore High Commission's authorised agents in Dhaka, from BDT 2,830, and takes at least 5 working days.

What do travellers ask about Singapore?
Three days cover the city tour, Gardens by the Bay and one full day on Sentosa. A fourth day leaves room for the Singapore Zoo or the Night Safari without rushing. Travellers who want more for the same airfare add three or four days in Kuala Lumpur and Genting Highlands, which is why our Singapore and Malaysia package runs 7 days.
Yes. Distances are short, the MRT is cheap and air-conditioned, signs and staff are in English, and Sentosa, the zoo and the Science Centre are built for children. Halal food is easy around Arab Street, Geylang Serai and in mall food courts. The main thing to plan for is cost: hotels and meals are higher than in Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok.
Ask us. The air fare moves every day and hotel rates change with the season, so we quote instead of printing a figure that goes stale. Tell us your dates, how many of you are travelling and the standard of hotel you want, and we send the flight, hotels and visa fees in one quote. Our tour prices are fixed: the Singapore and Malaysia 7-day land package is BDT 51,500 per person, minimum two travellers.
Yes, and it is the most common way Bangladeshi travellers do it: fly into Singapore, spend three nights, then continue to Kuala Lumpur by coach or a short flight. You need both visas before you leave Dhaka — the Singapore e-Visa through an authorised agent and the Malaysia eVISA — because neither is issued on arrival.
