Plan your Indonesia trip from Bangladesh

Everything our team has put together for travellers from Bangladesh, in one place.

Travelling to Indonesia from Bangladesh

Bali dominates most people's idea of Indonesia — Tanah Lot's sea temple, the rice terraces around Ubud, and the surf beaches of the south — but the archipelago runs far beyond it, from Yogyakarta's temples on Java to the volcanoes of Mount Bromo and the diving around the eastern islands. FlyNext runs Bali itineraries from 4 to 7 days, the longer ones adding Lombok and the Gili Islands.

Most first visits to Bali stay within an hour or two of the airport: the Seminyak and Kuta coast for beaches and nightlife, Ubud inland for temples, rice fields and a slower pace. Travellers who add Java usually fly rather than take the ferry, since the crossing takes far longer than a short domestic hop.

The one thing that still changes how a Bangladeshi traveller must plan this trip is the visa: Bangladesh isn't on Indonesia's visa-on-arrival list, so there's no landing in Bali and getting a visa at the airport. The visa itself, though, is more straightforward than it used to be — it's a self-service online application, and most Bangladeshi applicants don't need a local sponsor. Our Bali travel guide has the full planning timeline.
